Police appeal for car owners to come forward to help with Jamie Kelly's muder
POLICE are today appealing for the owners of four cars seen in the Chirkdale Street area at the time of Jamie’s murder to come forward.
Jamie was stabbed 18 times on September 14. He arrived at the Royal Liverpool Hospital at 1pm and died shortly after.
DCI Dave Brunskill who is leading the investigation said: “We would like the owners of four cars which were in the vicinity to come forward so we can eliminate them from our inquires.
“There are two silver cars, one we believe to be a Vauxhall Astra, a cream coloured Mitsubishi Shogun and a black Saab.
“These were all seen in the Delamore Street and Chirkdale Street area.
“Jamie was well known in the community, a well loved individual. Strength of feeling runs high within that community to the extent that his own friends have arranged a memorial service for him.
“We are now appealing to those friends and people from the community to come forward with any information, no matter how small, to help us with our inquires and to give peace of mind to his family.
