Early morning crash kills 2 in Rochester; police say speed, alcohol were factors
ROCHESTER — Police say run and alcohol were factors in a motor vehicle fluke that killed two men early Sunday morning.
No charges have been filed against the driver of the instrument, but police didn't rule out possible charges as the discovery procedure into the crash continued Saturday.
The single-agency accident was reported at 12:14 a.m. near 22 Highland St. in East Rochester. First responders found that two men, who both were passengers in the agency, had been ejected during the crash and died of their injuries. Utter dead at the scene were Andrew Lane, 18, of Rochester, and Luke Pendexter, 21, of Berwick, Maine.
The driver of the instrument, Latoya Fletcher, 17, of Berwick, Maine, received youngster injuries.
Police say Fletcher was driving a verdant 1995 Saab 900 Convertible east on Highland Row.
