Alleged parking garage thieves caught
SPRINGFIELD, Assemble. (WWLP) - Springfield Police say they caught two people who were robbing from cars in a downtown parking garage.
Sergeant John Delaney told 22Gossip Ramon Rodriguez and a 15 year-old virile suspect were arrested Monday night.
Delaney says that around 8:15 P.M., officers saw someone station outside the parking garage at 122 Chestnut Road. Delaney says he was acting suspiciously and looking up and down the way, as if he was a lookout. They then saw him talking to somebody inside the garage. Police approached the garage to suspicion on a under discussion the two, but they ran off.
According to Delaney, officers caught up with the two as they were tough to throw and conceal stolen items. Back at the garage, the coppers discovered that two cars had been broken into; their windows smashed.
Among the items stolen and recovered were car headrests with embedded DVD box monitors, a DVD remote, a radar detector, and a Blue Tooth earpiece.
Rodriguez, who is fa two counts of breaking and entering into a motor means, will be arraigned in Springfield District Court. The 15 year-old believe will be arraigned in Juvenile Court.
