No 'i' in Elantra?
Very much suddenly, Hyundai has augmented its i30 small car choice with an Elantra sedan.
Why it isn’t called the i30 sedan is a respected question. Suffice to say it’s a totally new car from the wheels up.
Elantra was benchmarked against the Mazda3 and VW Golf - two remarkably capable small cars.
Elantra is priced from a scathing $20,590 plus on roads for the entry knock down Active six-speed manual, a generously equipped car consummate with steering wheel controls for Bluetooth phone, travel control, audio and trip computer.
This is on top of the usual airconditioning, power ancillaries, top characteristic audio, and a five-star crash rating.
It’s built on a new tenets that will filter through to other new models in the future. The chassis is designed with a frontal bang box offering additional protection and uses high-class strength steel in many key structural areas.
The confederation follows Hyundai’s “fluidic relief” design first seen on the i45 medium sedan.
