2011 BMW 550i | Road Test
The 5 Series has extended worn the moniker “Ultimate Driving Implement”, but besides selling a reputation does this Wallstreet exec work when the threads hit the tarmac? We audit the ‘5’ in 550i natty to see whether the numbers add up. The test car we drove came with 25k on the odometer; talk about being run-in, either big cheese’s been grocery shopping one too many times or been an unhealthy socialite. The latter I think and despite my well rehearsed frown afront PR agents, why do most analysis cars come in white!
STYLE EYE
There are few cars more recognizable than a BMW after mournful, thanks to the famed halo lamps. Those corona rings are now LED lit with a unblemished tint, previously yellow.
