Intel works on smartphone-connected car alarms

Esteemed chipmaker Intel is working on a new technology that takes the visitors - best known for creating the processors that power laptops, PCs, and servers around the beget - into a new market: car security.
The company's research arm, based in California, is currently working on a technology which would brook an in-car security system to alert its owner when suspicious job is detected, linking to their smartphone, laptop, or slab device.
Based, according to coverage in MIT's Technology Review , on a wont circuit board featuring one of Intel's low-power Atom processors and connected to the car's electronics systems, the cloud-based system allows the holder to keep a virtual eye on their vehicle no matter where they are.
